Singapore and Uzbekistan Enhance Tax Cooperation
 

Tashkent, 14 June 2011 - Singapore and Uzbekistan signed a Protocol to incorporate the internationally-agreed Standard for the exchange of information for tax purposes, upon request, in their standing Agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation.

The Protocol was signed in Tashkent between Singapore’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Mr Zulkifli Baharudin, and the Chairman of Uzbekistan’s State Tax Committee, Mr Botirjon Parpiev.

The full text of the Protocol is available on the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore’s (IRAS) website. The Protocol will enter into force after its ratification by both countries.
