A) Statutory Boards
 
 
The Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) was established on 1st April 2004 by the enactment of the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Act. The formation of this statutory board is a result of a merger between the Registry of Companies and Businesses (RCB) and the Public Accountants Board (PAB). The mission of ACRA is to provide a responsive and forward looking regulatory environment for companies, businesses and public accountants, conducive to enterprise and growth in Singapore. The focus of the statutory board will be on issues concerning businesses, such as developing the corporate law framework, accounting and corporate governance.

The Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) is the Government's agent for administering, assessing, collecting and enforcing payment taxes. It also advises the Government and represents Singapore internationally on tax matters.

Established in 1988, Tote Board (Singapore Totalisator Board) oversees the efficient and effective operations of its proprietary club, the Singapore Turf Club, and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Singapore Pools (Private) Limited, and ensures that horseracing and all forms of betting and gaming, operated by the two entities, are conducted with honesty and integrity.
The surplus funds generated by the gaming activities are channelled to the Board to fund worthy causes in the areas of arts and culture, education, health, community development, charity and sports that will make a stronger nation and better community.

B) Departments

The Accountant - General's Department (AGD) supports the Ministry of Finance in advancing the Well - Being and Development of Singapore through delivery of excellent accounting and financial services to the Singapore Public Service.

Centre for Shared Services - Vital.org is a government department formed on 1 Apr 06 under the Ministry of Finance. It delivers corporate shared services to Ministries, Organs of State, and Statutory Boards of the Singapore Government.

Singapore Customs is a government agency under the Ministry of Finance. Formed on 1 April 2003, Singapore Customs is the lead agency on trade facilitation and revenue enforcement matters. It is responsible for implementation of customs and trade enforcement measures including those related to free trade agreements and strategic goods.

The Centre for Public Project Management (CP2M) was established in Jan 2011 to provide project management advisory services to Public Sector agencies that require help in managing development projects. The Centre will play a role in the evaluation and monitoring of the government-wide pipeline of projects to maximise value at the Whole-of-Government level. The key roles of CP2M include a) working with client agencies to scope their development proposals and provide advice on maximizing value as well as enhancing design, b) identifying project risks and working with the client agency to put in place mitigating measures from project conceptualization to completion, and  c) codifying best practices and learning points of development projects for dissemination to government agencies
